It all started with Disney

Disneyworld- No other place like it.

The first trip I actually remember is flying by myself from my home in New Mexico to California where my Grandparents lived. I was 5 and flying by myself would cement a lifelong love of traveling.

It's funny the things a kid remembers. My grandparents' house was surrounded by a cactus garden and I remember thinking that it was a horrible place to have a kid. What if I fell? I just knew I would be impaled on a giant cactus.

It was also the source of one of my all-time favorite meals. I must have arrived at a weird time because I was starving and hadn't eaten on the plane. My grandparents put bags of cold cuts, cheese and crackers out on the table and I went to town on it. My parents didn't buy sliced deli meats like this. I had sliced ham and turkey plus all sorts of stinky cheeses that I could mix and match. Salami and roast beef plus bread and crackers. It sounds so simple but to this day it remains one of my all-time favorite meals. The simplicity was perfect. I had also just read Heidi where they ate bread and cheese constantly so for me to eat like Heidi was just cool.

I don't remember much else about that trip except Disneyland. My Grandfather thought it a good idea to visit Disneyland on New Years Day when everyone else would be home watching football. Or so he thought. Nope! The crowds and lines were insane! Attendance records were shattered that day. What my grandparents must have thought as they were walking me around in total chaos. I loved it. The characters, the music, and sounds. Even the smell! Years later I would work for the Disney company and learn that there is a "Disney smell" that is pumped into the park but for a six-year-old, it was sheer heaven. I don't remember going on a single ride but it didn't matter. I was hooked and would be a Disney addict for life. Many of the Disney philosophies would become codes of my own life

Manners mean something to me. How you treat and interact with people is everything. Give them more and they will never forget you or your business. Smiling is my trademark and it always will be. My personality is pure Disney and I wouldn't have it any other way. My husband says I am a walking Disney character. I take that as a compliment. :)
